Clinical Engagement Overview

STI and TB Services Moving to Alberta Health Services
On April 1, 2010, the Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Program and Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program will be moving from Alberta Health and Wellness (AHW) to Alberta Health Services (AHS).
Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act
The Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act is new legislation that provides a range of decision-making options for when an adult needs assistance or requires a substitute to make decisions about financial and personal matters, including their health care.
The new legislation provides an updated approach to substitute decision-making and affects the practice of health care providers across Alberta.
