Nursing Students
Alberta Health Services supports initiatives to employ nursing students and new graduates. There are a variety of opportunities in different areas of the province with unique qualifications, duties and responsibilities.
Undergraduate Nursing Employees (UNE)
AHS offers a range of employment opportunities to nursing students. The UNE role provides an opportunity to develop further competency in the range and complexity of nursing practice. - Students are excluded from employment in a practice setting while they are assigned a student clinical preceptorship
- Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) currently taking the Bridge to Canadian Nursing program are NOT eligible for UNE employment.
