Submission Guidelines

All events must be hosted/sponsored by Alberta Health Services or a trusted and reputable health partner. Please read the following criteria before submitting a request:    

Upcoming Events (in Alberta)

Events must fit into one of the following areas:

Clinical events: are defined as events targeted at the public. They are health promotion and education focused and hosted/sponsored by Alberta Health Services or a trusted and reputable health partner. These events are not recurring and will happen on a one-time basis.

Professional development events: are defined as education and awareness sessions aimed at a specific group or multiple groups of health professionals. The target audience is Alberta Health Services staff and other associated professionals and not the general public. They are to be hosted/sponsored by Alberta Health Services or a trusted and reputable health partner.

Corporate events: are defined as those being hosted/sponsored by Alberta Health Services or a trusted and reputable health partner. Corporate events will have, at minimum, relevance to the entire geographic area in which it is being hosted. Corporate events may fall into one of the following criteria:

• Informing public about AHS programs and services
• Providing health promotion and prevention messages
• Education for public and/or staff on health related topics
• Promotion of Health Foundation campaigns and initiatives

Health promotion and safety days/weeks/months will fall into the category of corporate events but can only be listed on the calendar of events when associated to an actual event. Please note that professional recognition events will not be listed.

Please email a completed Event Submission Form to WebComm@albertahealthservices.ca if your event meets the above criteria. Please allow 5 business days for posting once an event has been approved. 

Recurring Events (in Alberta)

Includes health promotion and education in the form of workshops, classes, and mini-presentations that are ongoing throughout the province.

This type of event can also be linked to a corresponding service record already listed under the Programs and Services section of the Alberta Health Services website. For information on how to link recurring event schedules to Inform Alberta service records please contact Healthlink.Alberta@albertahealthservices.ca.
