Don Sieben, Edmonton, Member

Three-year term. Partner, Peterson Walker LLP Chartered Accountants. Member, University of Alberta Board of Governors.

Mr. Sieben has extensive experience with corporate, government and community boards. He currently serves on the Discipline and Appeals Tribunal Roster for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

He was previously a police commissioner with the Edmonton Police Commission, and served on both the Senate and Board of Governors for the University of Alberta.

Mr. Sieben has also served as a board member for Athabasca University, Canative Housing Corporation, Centre for Innovative Management, Northern Alberta Children's Hospital, Alberta Hospital Edmonton, Apeetogosan (Metis) Development Inc., Athabasca Regional Economic Development Council, Edmonton Association of the Mentally Handicapped, and Electronics Association of Alberta. Don also sat on the Government of Alberta's Sub-Committee to review the Alberta Government's three year business plans in 1993.

Mr. Sieben holds a Bachelors degree in commerce and a post-graduate diploma in health services administration from the University of Alberta and a Masters degree in business administration from Athabasca University. He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta since 1981.

His professional experience includes executive positions with Northern Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, Children's Health Centre of Northern Alberta, and the Canadian Red Cross Society. Don is currently a partner with Peterson Walker LLP Chartered Accountants of Edmonton.

Mr. Sieben is married, has three children and enjoys spending his free time with his grandchild.
